Freelance Graphic Design
Throughout the past several years, I have done some freelance work for local start-up businesses. This includes drafting up written agreements for my services, speaking in person and over the phone with clients to flush out ideas, and making revisions to designs when necessary. My freelance work also requires me to contact print and label companies to ensure that the final design is executed in the desired manner. I am utilizing the graphic design skills learned during my education in real world situations to help others with their businesses by creating designs that draw the attention of their clientele.

Medical — PET Representative
Since February of 2025, I have worked as a remote PET representative for a healthcare provider centered in Massachusetts. I schedule and pre-register patients for PET/CT (positron emission tomography / computed tomography) scans using eRAD to make sure that they have the necessary paperwork, insurance clearance, and understanding of exam preparation instructions. Since certain scans can only be performed within specific parameters, I must ensure that patients are scheduled appropriately. When scan appointment changes are needed, I contact the pharmacy to ensure that the IV dose order is changed.
Some of my other job responsibilities include contacting doctor’s offices and care facilities for missing documents, following the rules of HIPAA to ensure that patient information is kept confidential, and setting up transportation for patients to and from their appointments. Collaboration with fellow representatives, PET technicians, and medical personnel from other departments and facilities is essential to make sure that patients are able to get the care they need. Although the calls are relatively short in duration, I provide excellent customer service by treating every patient with kindness, compassion, and professionalism to make them feel reassured and comforted during this uncertain time in their lives while getting all of the needed requirements met for their appointments.

Aquatics
Throughout the years, I have worked as an aquatics supervisor, lifeguard, swim instructor, and pool maintenance worker at my local athletic club, amusement park, and town beach. Remaining vigilant around water attractions and performing saves during lifeguarding shifts has been one of my primary responsibilities in these positions. I have also taught both private and group swim lessons to children and adults of all ages and helped some students prepare to meet swim team qualifications. Ensuring that new staff are properly trained on the facilities’ protocols and informing patrons about aquatic’s policies have been vital in making sure that the facility is both effective and a safe environment. I have been around water my entire life, so working in these environments feel like home. Whether it was at a local town pool or at a resort water attraction during vacation, aquatic recreation has been an integral part of my life.
I’ve competed in countless swim competitions since I was nine years old and have been affiliated with private, high school, and US Masters swim teams. I was elected to be one of the boys’ swim team captains during my senior year of high school. This gave me the opportunity to advocate for the resolution of teammates’ concerns and conflicts to the head coach when they arose. I also encouraged inexperienced swimmers and helped guide them in proper techniques for success during competitions.
Throughout my career, I’ve placed both in my home state and nationally during several competitions. Placing in the US Masters Swimming Spring and Summer Nationals from 2023 to present have been some of my biggest accomplishments by far. In both the 2024 Summer Nationals held in Mission Viejo, California and the 2026 Summer Nationals held in Sacramento, California, I placed third in my age group (25-29 year old) for the men’s 800 meter Freestyle. Swimming has taught me sportsmanship, determination, resilience, goal-setting, and focus. All of these have transferred into other aspects of my life and career.

Golf
From 2017 to 2024, I worked at my local golf course as a maintenance worker. I supported daily operations and assisted golfers throughout the season. My responsibilities included maintaining and cleaning golf carts, helping golfers with tee times, checking receipts, keeping the course facilities clean and stocked, preparing for events, and transporting golfers to and from the clubhouse during outings and tournaments. This experience taught me the importance of being dependable, attentive to detail, and helpful to customers and coworkers.
I have a personal connection with the course because my father first brought me here when I was two years old and taught me the fundamentals and techniques of the game. Also, when I was a member of my middle school golf team, we played here during the season. This course has been an important part of my life from a young age, and I will always cherish the memories and lessons I’ve learned here.

Retail
I started working at my local Walmart superstore during the shutdown of 2020. Since my aquatics and golf course job closed down at the time, I needed to find another avenue of work to pay for college since I only had one more year to go until graduation. Retail was always something that intrigued me, yet I never had the opportunity to get involved in it. Considering the circumstances, there was no better time to give it a try.
I acquired valuable customer service experience while working as a front end cashier at Walmart. Throughout my time here, I have been able to work on the art of small talk, clearly and efficiently describe problems to supervisors, use good judgement when selling age-restrictive beverages and products, remain calm when customers are frustrated, and troubleshoot problems on my own. I now have a better understanding of how retail stores keep their prices competitive, why product placement and promotion are vital for a store to earn more sales, and how supply and demand works in the real world.
